My country, Nigeria is a great nation, located in
West Africa, with a landmass of 923,768km2. It has an estimated
population of over 150 million people living as one, with 6 geopolitical zones,
3 main Religion, over 250 Ethnic groups and about 500 languages. English is our
lingua franca. Naira is our medium of exchange. Nigeria has one federal territory,
36 states, 774 LGAs and three tiers of Government heading each level.
Nigeria was amalgamated in 1914 by Lord Lugard. We gained
independence in 1960 and became a republic in 1963. Nigeria is richly blessed
with agricultural and mineral resources.
